iSolutions are pleased to confirm that the University’s managed Windows 10 computers and networked storage have again been certified to comply with the requirements of the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) Cyber Essentials security certification.
Our certification expires on the 14 August 2021.
Cyber Essentials is a government backed scheme championed by the NCSC, for organisations to demonstrate best practice in information security.
It ensures that five technical controls are in place to protect our systems and data:
- Using a firewall to secure internet connections
- Choosing the most secure settings for devices and software
- Controlling who has access to data and services
- Protecting from viruses and other malware
- Keeping devices and software up to date
