On Thursday 30 July, the University announced a suite of voluntary cost saving measures for staff, including a Voluntary Severance (VS) Scheme which is now open for applications.
The measures are one aspect of a wider, strategic approach to our recovery from the expected impact of COVID-19.
The voluntary measures include:
- A Voluntary Severance (VS) scheme open from Monday 3 August 2020 until Sunday 20 September 2020.
and the following measures which are all effective from 1 October and for which further information will be available in September:
- The opportunity for reduced working hours for a limited period
- The opportunity for buying additional holiday for a limited period
- The opportunity to take unpaid career breaks for a limited period
- And a reminder that we already have an existing opportunity to apply for flexible retirement.
