iSolutions is pleased to announce that its new departmental structure is now in place.
The new structure aims to create an improved strategic alignment between the wider University and iSolutions thus enabling a greater focus on priority areas. The restructure has brought together key functional areas through the introduction of “Heads of” roles focusing on Research, Education, Business Services and Infrastructure.

How will the new structure affect staff and students?
The new structure allows us to build upon the high quality services currently provided. Increasing reliability in our systems, making them easier to use and having effective, quick support available through our ServiceLine and technical teams.
One significant change relates to our Business Relationship Managers (BRMs). The BRMs have new roles as Strategic Business Partners; these roles were designed to focus on the strategic needs of the Faculties and individual Professional Services, while continuing to support the more niche requirements specific to their areas.
The Strategic Business Partner team entered into a short transition period, from 3 August until 28 August, to enable the team to complete any necessary handover of “in-flight” activity. As such, they will be implementing a revised engagement model for an initial period of six months. During this time, the Strategic Business Partners will work with the Faculties and Professional Services to reflect on whether this model provides the necessary support to enable our shared success and growth.
What will happen moving forward?
After such a large organisational change, in addition to adjusting to COVID related restrictions, teams and individuals are still setting into new roles, functions and ways of working. We would appreciate your understanding during this time of transition for our department.
We will continue to keep you informed of any further updates, however, if you have any concerns or questions please email [email protected]
