Our university has ranked joint 127th in the latest Times Higher Education’s (THE) World University Rankings for 2021. Amongst UK universities in the rankings, we are placed 15th.
This year, over 1,500 universities are ranked by the THE. The table reflects our performance in five categories including teaching, research, citations, international outlook and industry income.

Earlier this year, we improved our overall position in the 2021 QS World University Rankings, climbing seven places to 90th overall and rising three places to 17th in the 2021 Complete University Guide amongst UK institutions – the highest climber of any university within the top 20 this year.
We’ve also held our position amongst the world’s top 150 universities in the recently-published 2020 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) compiled by Shanghai Ranking.
