On 30 July, the University announced a suite of voluntary measures to be introduced as part our wider strategic approach to our recovery from the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
These measures include a Voluntary Severance (VS) Scheme, which remains open for applications until 20 September 2020, plus the following opportunities, which are now open for applications:
- The voluntary purchase of additional holiday to use between October 2020 and September 2021;
- A voluntary reduction in working hours, for a period of between three months and a year; and
- An opportunity to take a voluntary unpaid career break of between three months and two years
Staff will be able to apply for these voluntary measures throughout the coming academic year, with applications considered and approved by the relevant senior management teams at fixed points during the year.
