Car parking restrictions

With the new academic year beginning shortly and some student facing staff returning to work, we will be reinstating University car parking restrictions on all sites, which will come into effect from Monday 5 October. If you drive to campuses you will therefore be required to display a permit in any University car park, and in line with University Parking Regulations.

If you already hold a valid staff parking permit with an expiry date of Dec 31 2020, please ensure that it is displayed again from 5 October, and is clearly visible to patrol staff.

If you previously had a parking permit for 2020 but have cancelled it due to the lockdown or if you do not have a parking permit but are required to attend site and choose to drive. You can apply for a permit in the usual way, via the link on the SUSSED Services tab in the Travel & Transport section.

Payment for staff parking permits has been suspended for the remainder of 2020. However, parking enforcement will resume by the Parking Team on the 5 October and vehicles not displaying a valid permit may receive a penalty notice from this date.

Please note, facilities for walking, cycling and public transport are also available, with appropriate measures taken to maintain their safe use. Unilink are running regular services between sites and secure cycle shed access is available without charge across all sites for staff that prefer to cycle. Please email [email protected] for access.
