Changes to Digital Print Services ordering

The Print Centre team are pleased to have been able to restart printing, photocopying and bindery services at Digital Print Services on Highfield campus from Monday 14 September, enabling the team to accept more orders for printing needed for face-to-face teaching at the start of the new academic year. The Digital Print Services team have been working from home since March, answering enquiries remotely and fulfilling some order requests at The Print Centre’s off-campus production unit, and are pleased to be returning to work on campus.

Colleagues looking to place orders with Digital Print Services may notice some changes to how orders are processed and to some of the services provided to ensure the health, safety and welfare of the team and the wider University community. These include:

  • Initially, there will be no client-facing or walk-up service at Digital Print Services in Building 37, and the team ask for all enquiries and orders to be sent via email to [email protected]or telephone on 023 8059 2856 (internal 22856) or 023 8059 2592 (internal 22502).
  • Where possible, please send electronic files for printing rather than hard copy originals. Where it is only possible to supply a hard copy original, these will need to be sent to

      Building 37, Room 1003
      Highfield Campus
      SO17 1BJ
  • All hard copies that are received will be held in a quarantine area for 72 hours before the team process them. Please allow for this time to be added to the overall lead time for your order.
  • Our Digital Print Services team will initially be working in shifts to allow for physical distancing, which may lead to a reduction in production capacity. We recommend allowing 15 working days for production of your order, and the team will confirm estimated completion dates for all orders received. If you have a specific deadline date for your order please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate it.
  • All orders will have delivery arranged, as collection from Digital Print Services in Building 37 will not be possible.
