Stay Safe at Southampton

As part of the University’s commitment to providing a safe return to campus for all staff and students, alongside support to those that are new to the University, we have introduced a new initiative – Stay Safe at Southampton.

You may have already spotted our Stay Safe at Southampton ambassadors around Highfield Campus, Avenue Campus and Winchester School of Art. Their role is to be a point of contact for students to speak to if they are lost or aren’t sure where they can go for any issues they may have. They will also be reinforcing safety messages around our COVID-secure campuses, including the Code of Conduct, use of face coverings and The Rule of Six. Ambassadors have direct lines of contact with members of staff across the Student Experience Directorate and the Student Life Team, so if they can’t answer your question immediately, they will be able to find someone that can.

Stay Safe at Southampton ambassadors will also be located at Glen Eyre, Wessex Lane and Mayflower Halls so if you are feeling lost, overwhelmed or simply unsure of anything and you see an ambassador in their Stay Safe at Southampton tops then go and chat to them. They are here to help to ensure you feel as comfortable and supported as possible.
