The University is in the process of changing its primary banking provider from Lloyds to Barclays, with the transition being implemented in stages over the coming months.
The migration of outgoing payments to the Barclays accounts will commence with effect from 5 November 2020 and it is anticipated that all outgoing payments will be generated from the new accounts by the end of November 2020.
The migration of incoming funds will take place over the next 3 months, during which time notifications of the change to primary banker will be sent out in tranches by the Treasury & Transactional teams.
Details of the new bank accounts will be circulated to Heads of Faculty Finance for dissemination and will also be made available through the Finance pages of the University website. Please ensure that details are only passed on where it is appropriate to do so.
Any queries in relation to the change of bankers should be directed to your Faculty Finance office or to [email protected]
To coincide with the migration to Barclays, changes have been implemented to the invoicing process for US Dollars and Euros in Business World. With effect from 5 November 2020 all invoices raised in these currencies should be raised using the currency invoicing templates that have been set up in the system. Any queries in relation to this should be directed to the credit control team at [email protected]
In line with current practices, direct debit mandates can only be set up against the University’s bank accounts with authorisation from the Finance Directorate and all such requests should be forwarded to [email protected] in the first instance.
