Supporting our students during lockdown

Our student wellbeing is a top priority, especially at this time. We encourage all student facing staff to familiarise themselves with the support and activities available so that you can help support your students if you have concerns or if they reach out to you.

  • Virtually Together – To help support our students over the next four weeks, we’re launching a brandnew series of online activities to help students stay connected. We’ll also be making board games and craft supplies available for free for students, both in halls and private accommodation. Online activities include a book club, Bake off and sport and wellbeing activities.
  • Student Support Hub – students can contact the hub by calling +44(0)23 8059 9599 or email [email protected]. Online chat is available between 10.00 and 16.00  here.
  • Togetherall: A safe space to talk about their wellbeing and mental health.
  • Our Harassment Contacts are here to provide support if they are being bullied or harassed.
  • Support and Wellbeing webpage
  • Students can use our Wayfinder app to find answers to common questions and to be directed to support services.
  • Enabling Services: support for students with disabilities, mental health conditions or specific learning difficulties.
  • SUSU’s Online Community Facebook Group: a group for students to keep in touch and support each other.
  • Student Space: wellbeing resources and advice.
  • The SUSU Advice Centre: our team offer free, confidential advice for finance, housing and academic issues.
  • Sabbs: our Sabbatical Officers are always available to listen to student’s concerns and ideas.
