Research impact: Lessons from an Associate Dean

Join Professor Sally Brailsford, Associate Dean (Research and Enterprise, Faculty of Social Sciences) as she talks about research impact as defined by the REF, i.e. not publishing in high-impact journals but using our research to change something in the real world.

Sally’s research has been chiefly in the area of health care modelling – to evaluate treatments and screening programmes, to allocate resources, to redesign processes and to improve systems. She has worked specifically in the disease fields of HIV/AIDS, diabetes, cancer and sexually transmitted diseases, in emergency care and in healthcare information systems.

This one-hour workshop takes place via Teams on Friday 20 November between 13:00 – 14:00 and will be suitable for all staff but may be of special interest to ECRs and PGRs.

Booking is made via StaffBook or via Gradbook
