Level 4-6 appraisal meetings can be set in the diary now ready for the New Year, to allow both the appraiser and appraisee time to prepare. Appraisals during COVID-19

Line Managers should be in regular contact with their staff members throughout the year. Appraisal meetings, which may be held virtually this year as some members of staff continue to work from home, provide another important opportunity to keep in touch and provide support.

Appraisal guidance for COVID-19 sets out that, when reviewing contribution and agreeing objectives, consideration should be given to each individual’s circumstances; with managers affording a certain amount of flexibility by considering the impact of COVID-19 on the staff members’ working environment, health and wellbeing, any personal issues, work priorities and their role.

Recording Appraisals

The appraisal discussion should be recorded in the online appraisal form in MyHR Dashboard.

Detailed appraisal process guidance is available on the Appraisal Guidance pages on SharePoint. If you have any queries, please contact: AskHR.
