The Fightback: Transforming Spaces and Lives in Inner City Southampton

The Fightback series from the Social Impact Lab is back and this time we’re celebrating the amazing volunteer work by Abdoulie Sanneh at the Northam Local Conversation.

Abdoulie is the founder of IKAN; a project set up to transform abandoned alleyways in Southampton into recreational and creative spaces for children’s learning and leisure, and social spaces for adults to interact and address isolations. Over the past 8 months, he and his hard-working team have picked up tons of waste and filled up 4 massive trucks to make the space safer and cleaner for all ages.

Join Dr. Pathik Pathak on Facebook Live on Tuesday 8 December, Facebook live at 17:00, where he’ll be talking to Abdoulie about his local project, the wider community group and as always, how you can help.
