We’re pleased to announce that Professor Rachel Mills, Dean of Environmental and Life Sciences, and Professor Paul Whittaker, Dean of Arts and Humanities, have been re-appointed by Council for an additional three-year term, concluding 29 February 2024.
A proposal was put to colleagues in both Faculties in October to extend the terms of their current Deans for three years. This was also discussed at Senate in December. Council considered the information provided during the consultation on 13 January 2021.
This decision will provide stability and continuity of leadership for the Faculties and University as a whole, to negotiate the long-term effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and enable us to fulfil our potential as a world-leading university for research, education and enterprise.
