Throughout the month of February staff and students across the University will be hosting a series of events to celebrate LGBT+ History Month. Get involved with one of the many events from the University, the Students’ Union and the LGBTQ+ Society below.
“The LGBTQ+ Society aims to provide an inclusive and safe space for LGBTQ+ students and allies to socialise, whilst discovering and expressing themselves without judgement. This LGBTQ+ History Month, we’ve got a great programme of online events for you to join in with — from social nights to watchalongs to discussion groups, there’s something for everyone.”
Upcoming events include:
- 15 February Brought to you by SUSU, Create Space present Me, My Body and I, a workshop exploring our relationship to the body.
- 18 February The Southampton Stonewall Lecture: Transtopia and the Politics of History in the Asia Pacific.
- 24 February Join the SUSU’s LGBTQ+ Society for a History Month discussion group. They will be covering a variety of topics and providing participants with the chance to share experiences and learn from others.
