The last few weeks of February we have seen some exciting and interesting events delivered by staff and students across the University to mark LGBT+ History.
If you haven’t had a chance to attend any of the events then this is the last week to do so.
Upcoming events include:
- LGBTQ+ History Month Discussion Panel on 23 February 2021 16.00 to 17.00 – an online discussion organised by the Film Department to discuss the film Moonlight. If you would like to watch the film before attending the panel discussion, it is available to all University members via Box of Broadcasts. To register for the event please go to the Eventbrite.
- Derek Jarman’s Queer nature 25 February 2021 17.00 to 18.30 – Winchester School of Art and John Hansard Gallery in partnership are pleased to present a conversation between artist Sarah Wood and author Philip Hoare, Professorial Fellow in English exploring Derek Jarman’s radical writing, art, films, activism and gardening. - John Hansard Gallery’s Space To Create! Celebrating Identities on 27 February 13.00 to 14.00 – This online public event is open to all ages to explore logos and slogans in celebration of LGBT+ History Month. It will be live on their Instagram.
- In Conversation: Oozing Gloop and Olympia Bukkakis, with Dr Valentina Cardo, Associate Professor of Politics and Identity and Co-Director of Intersectionality at WSA on 27 February 20.30 to 22.00. Join them to discuss COMMUCRACY NOW!, drag, performance, parties, communism and the filth of life in the collapse of financialised capitalism.
