Calling all pioneers and entrepreneurs: Two-day innovation showcase

Got some cutting-edge research that is ready to break out into the wider world?

Research pioneers, start-ups, and entrepreneurs are invited to join the Innovate Local – Southern Pioneers event on Monday 8 and Tuesday 9 March.

The event is for anyone interested in learning about the latest innovation support available, both locally and nationally. It will also be an opportunity to meet partners and investors across the region.

The local economic priorities and growth opportunities for businesses will be explored, and national and local support agencies, who can help form collaborative partnerships and access funding, will be attending. There will also be the chance to hear from local businesses about their innovation journeys, and you can join Master Classes on topics including grant writing, funding for scale-ups, exporting, and accessing funding and finance.

Innovation Warm-up

The SETsquared Partnership, of which the University is a member, will be running an Innovation Warm-up at the event.

It will be a taster session for the partnership’s full Innovation Workouts. These are two-day online events that help businesses quickly identify new areas for growth, such as new markets, new products, new revenue streams or new ways of working.

The Innovation Warm-up will be a short interactive session, looking at a case study business and providing practical hints and tips.

Here’s the full agenda for the two-day event.

Innovate Local – Southern Pioneers is organised by Innovate UK, the Solent Local Enterprise Partnership, Venturefest South and the KTN (Knowledge Transfer Network).
