Staff and Postgraduate students are invited to join the upcoming April Parents’ and Carers’ Network (PCN) event via Teams where Anxiety Coach, Amrit Siran, will be speaking about children’s mental health.
Children’s Mental Health Workshop
13:00 – 14:00, Friday 30 April 2021
With a combination of understanding anxiety, mixed with demonstrations of practical strategies, her workshops look to give parents and carers a firmer understanding of their child’s mental health and wellbeing, and how to support them face challenges head-on, feeling empowered whilst doing so.
The topics she will be covering include:
- What is anxiety, its symptoms and causes
- The long term effects of COVID for children and parents
- Practical strategies to help your child face their anxiety, including techniques to deal with an immediate crisis.
