Staff and students are invited to take part in a study to be carried out as part of a PhD project based in the School of Electronics and Computer Science.
The focus of the study by PhD student Lokesh Singh is in understanding how humans work in collaborative activities and how stress is induced. The study will be carried out in an online environment and take place over the course of two sessions.
Participants should be:
- Aged Between 18-50
- Able to participate remotely
Participants should not be
- Pregnant
- Taking medicine for depression or anxiety
Participants will need to attend both sessions. Each session will last approximately 40-45 minutes. A Doodle poll link will be shared among interested participants to select a suitable time. This activity will involve teamwork. Microsoft Teams will be used to connect all the participants. The task procedure will be explained by the researcher. This is a google sheet-based task that can be completed remotely. Participants will be asked to fill in online questionnaires. They will be split into teams for the second session, based on their performance in the first task. The timing for second session will notified via email.
Focus groups will be held on Saturday 8 May 2021:
- First Session – between 09:00 – 12:00
- Second Session – between 14:00 – 16:30
Participants will be gifted £10 for their time, and the first and second placed teams will be awarded cash prizes of £80 and £40 respectively.
