The Engagement & Advancement Events Team is delighted to announce their next virtual event: Beating Blindness, taking place from 18:00 – 19:00 on Thursday 27 May.
Register to hear about the latest research being carried out by the University Vision Science Research Team into conditions that cause blindness, making Southampton a world leader in this field of medicine.
This event will be hosted by Mr Andrew Luff, one of the UK’s most respected eye surgeons with more than 30 years’ experience in ophthalmology. The evening will bring together a panel of researchers and scientists, both clinical and academic from the university; Andrew Lotery, Professor of Ophthalmology and Consultant Ophthalmologist; Jay Self, Associate Professor and Consultant Ophthalmologist and Dr Arjuna Ratnayaka, Lecturer in Vision Sciences. Together, they will explain how their latest work is driving forward potential treatments and therapies for patients globally.
There will also be the opportunity for an audience Q&A.
