The 19th annual Festival of Social Science will be returning in November this year, and the University of Southampton will be hosting its version for the third time! The funding call for event proposals will be launched in the coming weeks, so now is the time to get your thinking caps on!
This year’s festival is likely to be mostly digital, with the possibility of having in-person events if the national climate allows it. More information on the format will be provided in due course.
This is an excellent opportunity for researchers to take part in the biggest celebration of social science research and engage with a wide range of non-academic audiences including young people, the public, third sector, business or government.
Applications for sponsorship of up to £1,000 per event can be made and the funding call for event proposals will be launched shortly on the ESRC IAA FoSS SharePoint site. Applications from all spheres of Social Science are welcomed.
Furthermore, due to the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26), which will also take place this November, we welcome events with a specific focus on climate change and the environment.
If you are interested in taking part please fill in this quick Microsoft form and the team will be in touch shortly with more details.
