The University of Southampton episode of BBC Radio Four’s quiz show The 3rd Degree will be broadcast on Bank Holiday Monday, 31 May, at 15:00.
The episode will then be repeated on-air on Thursday, 3 June at 11.00pm before going onto BBC Sounds for seven days.
The programme, recorded virtually in early March this year, features our lecturers Neil Gostling (Biological Sciences), Louis Bayman (Film) and Delia Crowe (Fashion Design) taking on our students head-to-head in a battle of wits hosted by comedian Steve Punt.
It’s a quiz with a mixture of general knowledge, specialist subjects, lots of buzzing and a round called Highbrow/Lowbrow where the students get the chance to land their lecturers with a really tough question about Beyoncé – so long as they can answer the one about Barthes!
