Staying safe over the summer

As the summer is officially here, we wanted to remind our students of how to stay safe. It is everyone’s social and legal responsibility to protect one another, and we must all play a part to reduce transmission of COVID-19. You’re part of our University and local community, if you’re socialising, please do this safely and responsibly by adhering to the Government guidance and our Code of Conduct.

Be a good neighbour

Remember to be mindful of noise, it travels farther than you think! We encourage all students to be considerate of noise and to keep their neighbours in mind.

Remember to test

If you’re heading to campus, you’re required to have a negative COVID-19 test result before you go. Find out how to take part in regular COVID-19 Testing here.

You must self-isolate and complete this form if you’re symptomatic, are awaiting test results or if you or one of your housemates has tested positive for COVID-19. You should also self-isolate if you’re showing symptoms or if asked to due to contact with someone infected.

Sign up for your COVID-19 Vaccination

The Government is now rolling out vaccinations to all adults in the UK and expects all adults to have been offered a first dose by the end of July.

Not signed up for your vaccine yet? Book and manage your vaccination on the NHS website

We’re aware students may have questions about the vaccine and recommend you review the NHS FAQs for further information.
