EU, EEA and Swiss nationals who are returning from suspension on or after 1 July 2021 are required to complete a Right to Study Check with the VISAS Team before being able to re-enrol prior to returning from suspension.
Students who enrolled on their course before 1 July 2021 are not required to undertake retrospective Right to Study checks. It is the responsibility of students to ensure they have valid immigration permission/residence rights to study in the UK.
In order to complete the Right to Study checks, students returning from suspension will need to provide a clear colour image of their passport, and either the share code, or a clear colour copy of both sides of the BRP card.
Students this applies to will be emailed (to their University and personal email addresses) with further guidance on how to provide this information.
The deadline for EU, EEA & Swiss nationals to apply for the EU Settlement Scheme was 30 June 2021. For further information about the EU Settlement Scheme, please visit the GOV.UK website.
If you do not qualify for the EU Settlement Scheme and need further advice about visas to return to study, please contact the VISAS Team. See more on the VISAS webpages.
