As the global disruption to printing services continues, we are working closely with Microsoft and Apogee, our printer supplier, to address security issues and assist staff and students with their printing needs.
Work is currently being carried out on the following:
- A security patch issued by Microsoft yesterday will be installed on all workstations to proactively increase the security of local printing on University laptops and desktops. You may notice a prompt on your device to reboot your machine. Please do so as soon as possible to ensure our network remains safe and secure.
- iSolutions is evaluating the latest Microsoft security updates, and we hope to enable some form of network printing available within the next 48 hours.
- As of midday today, there will be two temporary print stations on campus at the Hartley library to assist staff and students with urgent printing needs as part of their studies, research, or work. The will be located:
-
- Next to the ServiceLine Help Desk with a resource booking on the library website
- Near the café in the foyer, which does not require a library resource booking
- As always, the University Print Centre is open and ready to assist you with large-scale printing such as dissertations.
