Research & Innovation Services (RIS) is looking for a suitably experienced academic or member of Professional Services (at level 5 or 6) interested in a one-year secondment to lead the Research Integrity and Governance (RIG) team.
The role will cover that of the current head of the team, who has been invited to join the Health Research Authority as their Data and Privacy Expert later this year.
The RIG team provides specialist advice, guidance and training to University staff on all matters relating to research ethics, integrity, and regulatory compliance. In particular, this focuses on the governance of research and studies involving human participants, and the use of their tissues and data.
The role-holder will lead the development of research policies and guidance to enable our University to respond to changes in the regulatory environment affecting research, support the promotion of the wider understanding of good research conduct, and help embed a culture of research integrity across our University.
