Student Ambassador applications now open!

We are currently recruiting Central and Faculty Ambassadors for the 2021/22 academic year and beyond. Submit your application today.

Student Ambassadors play an important role in representing the University at a range of events, both in-person and virtually. As a Student Ambassador you have a unique insight into university life at Southampton and your opinion matters!

Who can apply? 

In order to apply you must be continuing your studies at Southampton until at least June 2022. We welcome applications from across all levels of study and academic backgrounds. Our student community is diverse, and we would like our student ambassadors to reflect this.

What makes a successful Student Ambassador? 

To be successful in this role you should:

  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication
  • Work well in a team
  • Possess good problem-solving skills

What is the difference between Central and Faculty Ambassadors? 

Central Ambassadors undertake widening participation and outreach work within schools, colleges and the community, as well as represent the University at recruitment events. Faculty Ambassadors focus more of their attention on working with prospective students and offer holders.

At the end of the form you will be asked to upload a short video of yourself answering the following question; why study at the University of Southampton? You may wish to record your response to this question before starting your application.

The application deadline is 23:59 on Sunday 25 July 2021. Virtual interviews will take place from Wednesday 28 July onwards.
