One of our Strategic Major Projects, the Research and Enterprise Awards Management project (code-named ALPACA), which is aimed at transforming the management of our research and enterprise applications and awards, has reached a new milestone.
Our Strategic Major Projects are designed to deliver the University strategy. ALPACA will benefit staff who are involved in securing external funding for research and enterprise activities at the University.
One aspect of the project is the implementation of a new system designed to streamline and introduce efficiencies to the awards process and the ALPACA team are pleased to announce that they have contracted with Worktribe to supply the new system. The project team can now progress to the next stage of delivery.
As the team work on familiarising themselves with the new system they will also be asking for input from our research colleagues. Please look out for ALPACA updates on SUSSED, in local newsletters and on the ALPACA SharePoint site.
If you would like to know more about the project please visit the ALPACA SharePoint site which provides information about how you can get involved and information on your University representative. Each area has a representative on the project board and part of their role is to keep their colleagues up to date on any progress. You can find a list of all the board members on the SharePoint site.
