A great opportunity has arisen for all staff and students to take part in a Black History Month art project.
The Black Asian Minority Ethnic Staff Network and Faculty of Arts and Humanities would like to invite staff and students to submit an expression of interest to create a piece of art such as a sketch, photo, sculpture, graphics or fabric to showcase cultural diversity in our community as part of Black History Month.
We will be selecting a range of artworks, one of which will become the feature image for Black History Month. The other artworks will be used as part of Black Asian Minority Ethnic awareness raising events and/or activities.
You will be fully credited for your work.
If you would like to take part in this project, then please express your interest, by 15 August 2021 (midnight), in a couple of paragraphs or a recording stating:
- What your art is likely to be
- How it illustrates Black History Month
- And why you are interested in this project
For more information please see the UoS BAME Network’s Black History Month Art Project Brief.
