Human Worlds Festival, the University of Southampton’s annual celebration of Arts and Humanities organised by the Public Engagement with Research unit (PERu), is back. Registration for exhibitors is now open to all staff members, postgraduate and undergraduate students.
The Festival will run from Thursday 11 to Saturday 20 November and you will be able to contribute to two different formats:
- Human Worlds Digital – an online portfolio of digital resources, accessible worldwide, including live events, from talks and workshops to art performances;
- Hands-on Humanities Day – the family-friendly, free event which is also part of the Being Human festival programme, the UK national festival of humanities research.
Hands-on Humanities Day is currently scheduled to take place on Saturday 20 November at Avenue Campus, in accordance with Government and University guidelines at the time.
You can also contribute to the celebratory events preceding and following Human Worlds Festival: Black History Month in October, UK Disability History Month in November and December, and LGBT+ History Month in February next year.

2021 is a very special year for Human Worlds Festival, which will also unveil a new name from 1 September to mark its commitment to Arts and Humanities research and expand its impact.
