Thanking the University’s donors and volunteers

The University’s alumni and supporter community comprises over 260,000 individuals across the globe, many of whom stay closely connected with Southampton and each other.

We’re also privileged that a great number of them choose to give back to the University – either by donating money or by volunteering their time. This makes an immense difference to what we can achieve as an institution – contributing to our research, students, and the wider community.

The Office of Development and Alumni Relations (ODAR) helps to enable these opportunities, cultivating a community of donors and volunteers who share a strong, collective pride towards the University.

As part of ODAR’s regular communications, an annual giving report is sent to all those who have donated or volunteered over the previous 12 months – showcasing the breadth of impact that their generosity has had during that past year. In addition, this year for the first time, we’ve created a brief video for our donors and volunteers – again demonstrating just a few of the ways that their giving is making a difference to lives.

To our donor and volunteers – some of whom are members of staff or students – thank you for supporting the University. Together, you are helping us transform lives.
