Pensions expert, Brendan Mulkern will run three briefing sessions this week on the latest developments with the USS. The sessions are on Tuesday 14 (FEPS), Wednesday 15 (FELS) and Thursday 16 September (FSS). See below for how to join.
Brendan Mulkern’s background
Brendan has been involved in the management and administration of workplace pensions for over 30 years, with pension schemes like the Local Government Pension Scheme and USS (up to 2016, he was head of policy for the USS trustee company). Brendan has spoken to many scheme member audiences, and aims to bring a helpful clarity, fairness and balance to his presentations.
What will Brendan talk about?
Brendan’s presentation aims to keep staff updated on the latest events related to the USS pension scheme. It will take a balanced look at some of the latest commentary, attempt to clarify some of the mystery and myth of the USS valuation, and identify the next steps and what they might mean for our staff.
