This year’s Academic Promotion and Pathway Movement Process has now commenced.
Anyone who is considering applying for promotion or pathway movement this year is encouraged to attend this year’s Q&A session.
The session will be hosted by Professor Phillip Wright, Senior Vice-President (Academic) and is a good opportunity to understand more about the career pathways and assessment criteria, how to prepare an excellent application, as well as details of the process. There will be a question and answer session at the end to address any specific queries.
As our monitoring data shows that women have been less likely than men to make applications for promotion (but are just as likely to succeed when they do so), we would particularly encourage women to attend. However, the session is open to anyone who might be considering applying for promotion or pathway movement.
The session will take place on:
Wednesday 6 October 2021 from 11:00 – 13:00 on Microsoft Teams
If you would like to attend this event, please register on this Eventbrite page.
The event will be recorded and made available on the Promotion Website for those who are unable to attend.
The Academic Promotion and Pathway Movement processes are applicable to all staff in the Education, Research and Enterprise (ERE) and Research Nurse (RESN) job families, even if employed on research-only or enterprise-only (i.e. non-academic) terms and conditions. Members of the clinical job family may also enter these processes for the purposes of seeking an honorary promotion or title change.
