National Inclusion Week will take place from 27 September to 3 October 2021. A national event launched nine years ago by Inclusive Employers to bring organisations together “… to celebrate, share and inspire inclusion practices”. As a valued member the University can access tailored consultancy support, bespoke practical learning and development solutions, and has access to free workshops to develop understanding and promote best practice.
This year’s theme for National Inclusion Week is about unity – #UnitedForInclusion.
The week offers a great opportunity for us to shine a spotlight on inclusivity and take time to read and discuss all things inclusion with our colleagues. As a member of Inclusive Employers, all our staff have access to a range of free courses and resources.
During National Inclusion Week you can also book yourself on to the following free events:

Lynn Kerridge, Interim Director of Wessex Institute and Chief Executive Officer of National Institute for Health Research Evaluation, Trials and Studies Coordinating Centre (NETSCC) is delighted to be taking part in National Inclusion Week and said:
“Over the 26 years that I have been part of the University and involved in health and care research, the commitment to inclusion has grown, with increasing focus and effort to ensure inclusivity. This is a journey, there is lots more that needs to be done to ensure everyone is valued. We all have a part to play. I ask myself every day, have I been inclusive, what more can I and should I do? I look forward to the week ahead.”
