COVID-19 vaccines available for staff and students via the University Health Service

This post was updated with new information on 1 October.

The University Health Service are currently operating on a walk-in basis and will be offering first and second dose vaccines to students and staff every Saturday from 10:00 to 16:00, as well as on Wednesday 6 October from 13:00 to late afternoon (finishing time on this day is flexible according to demand).

Anyone can receive the COVID-19 vaccination for free as part of the NHS, whether you require a full course (2 doses), or just a second dose of the vaccines distributed in the UK (regardless of where you had your first dose). Here is what is offered if you have had a different vaccine:
• If you have had one dose of Sinopharm, Sinovac or Sputnik Light, a full course of Pfizer will be offered (except where this is contraindicated).
• If you have had two doses of Sinopharm, Sinovac or Sputnik Light, a single booster of Pfizer will be offered (except where this is contraindicated).
• If you have had two doses and a booster of Sinopharm, Sinovac or Sputnik Light, no further COVID vaccination will be offered.

Eligible staff and students can also get a booster shot through the University Health Service if six months have passed since the second dose was administered. Check your eligibility on the NHS website.
