We’re pleased to bring you the October 2021 issue of your magazine, Staff Matters.
In this month’s edition we
- hear, ahead of COP26, how colleagues have been putting children at the centre of climate change policy;
- learn more about the discovery of two new species of predatory dinosaur found on the Isle of Wight;
- present two stories on mentoring: the reverse mentoring scheme that’s twice been run within our faculty of Medicine, and explore the hidden history of mentoring in British poetry.
We also share colleagues’ sense of anticipation before this year’s Vice-Chancellor’s Awards, which take place in just one week’s time.

Do you have a story to share?
Staff Matters highlights many facets of life across our University. Now well into our third year, we remain very enthused by colleagues’ willingness to share their stories. Do keep sending your photos, texts and videos in, as we’d love to feature as many people, teams and campuses as possible. Contact us: [email protected]
