Open to new Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught students joining the University this academic year, the Online Learning Grant offers non-repayable contributions of up to £200 towards the cost of essential hardware (laptop/desktop computer, headphones, mouse, keyboard and/or internet access equipment). Set costs are used when making awards to ensure all students are treated fairly.

Please be aware that funding is limited. In case of oversubscribing, awards will be made on an individual need basis.

In order to qualify for a grant you must:

  • be a new Undergraduate or Postgraduate Taught student entering the University for the 2021/22 academic year;
  • have Home fee status;
  • be fully enrolled on your course;
  • have a UK bank account.

Students who meet the eligibility criteria can apply using the form on the Online Learning Grant webpage.

The deadline for applications is Friday 15 October at 17:00. However, due to the limited funding, if there is a high volume of applicants the form will close earlier, so get your applications in as soon as possible!
