This autumn, the Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) team is partnering with Skillfluence to deliver the following series of training seminars for early-career researchers who want to learn more and gain the skills and confidence needed to form working relationships with industry.
These seminars will take place weekly throughout November on the dates given below. Please follow the Eventbrite links to book onto the courses and make sure you book onto both parts of the event. If you have any queries in the mean time, please do not hesitate to get in touch at [email protected].
Introduction to IP for Researchers – 2 & 5 November, 10:00-11:30
Delivered by a fully qualified IP attorney, this programme helps researchers develop the know-how and confidence to make informed decisions around IP and how it relates to their research. In this introduction to intellectual property, researchers learn about types of IP, what it is in general terms and why it’s important. They’ll learn about patents, how they evolved and the legal requirements to get a patent. Researchers will also look at how to use patents and there will be an online demonstration of how to search a patent database.
