Upcoming invitation to complete the Race Equality Experience Survey 2021

On Monday 15 November 2021, staff and students will receive an email inviting them to take part in the Race Equality Experience Survey 2021.

The email will be sent from [email protected] and will contain a personalised link to take part. The survey will close at 23:59 on 28 November 2021.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion are at the heart of our University’s current and draft Strategy, and we’ve recently launched our Strategic Plan – Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I) with the goal: to create an inclusive University community.

By taking part in the Race Equality Experience survey, you’ll be making a valuable contribution to helping us deliver this commitment. Not only will responses help us better understand the experiences of our staff and students and how race may play a part in those experiences, they will also help us identify areas for improvement and drive positive change at our University.

We are keen to hear from everyone, not just those who feel directly affected, or who identify with a particular ethnic group. The more data we have, the more targeted our recommendations can be.

Participation in the survey is voluntary, and completing it should take no longer than 15 minutes.

Please keep an eye on your inbox on Monday 15 November for your survey invite.

Printed copies of the survey will be available for staff within particular areas of Estates and Facilities. Supervisors will provide further detail on a local basis.

You can send any questions or queries you have about the survey to the ED&I team by emailing: [email protected]

AREQA ethics approval (number 2021/237).
