The Race Equality Charter Self-Assessment team (REC-SAT) is seeking staff and student volunteers to help assist with the development of our University’s Race Equality Charter award submission.
The aims of the Race Equality Charter are closely aligned with our Strategic Plan for Equality, Diversity and Incusion, as well as our developing University Strategy.
About the role(s)
As a member of the University’s REC-SAT or its associated working groups, you will:
- help shape our submission for Advance HE’s Race Equality Charter award (due to be submitted July 2022)
- help analyse data on race equality at our University
- help develop and propose recommended actions that will make a real difference
- Volunteers will be expected to attend a monthly meeting and allocate sufficient time to complete tasks – no more than 1-2 hours a week – until July 2022.
About you
Prospective volunteers should have a keen interest in improving racial equality, and a passion for their role at our University.
Please note: no previous experience of working on a charter is required in order to apply.
