Following a successful free flu vaccination campaign on 12 and 15 November, there are now additional slots available for the vaccine on Friday 3 December from 09:00 – 15:30 at 26 University Road, Highfield Campus (opposite Highfield Pharmacy).
The campaign is part of our commitment to keep our community safe and is offered to members of staff/PGRs who are not eligible to receive a free flu jab from the NHS. This includes all 18 – 49 year olds without a qualifying underlying health condition*, or who are otherwise ineligible through the NHS scheme.
Vaccinations will be administered by the local Highfield Pharmacy and face coverings will need to be worn at all times while you are in the building.
As there are a limited number of vaccines available, eligible staff/PGRs are encouraged to book an appointment ASAP. Bookings are open until Wednesday 1 December.
On the day of their vaccination, eligible staff will need to bring a completed consent form and their staff ID to their appointment.
*Free vaccinations under the NHS are offered to the following individuals, who are therefore excluded from our University’s clinic offer:
- All children aged 2 to 3
- All primary and secondary school pupils up to and including Year 11
- Those aged six months to under 50 years in clinical risk groups
- Pregnant women
- Those aged 50 years and over
- People in residential care
