Our new SUSSED portal is now live on SharePoint. The platform has been integrated with our suite of Microsoft 365 apps, allowing staff and students to use one familiar system. The new platform reduces the number of sites staff and students have to navigate and has better safety features.
Other benefits of the new platform include:
- an integrated University and local news stream, so staff and students can remain up to date with the latest University developments.
- an integrated search function with SharePoint.
- all the features found on the current SUSSED platform – Agresso, MyHR, email, Blackboard, timetables and Coronavirus updates.
The web address www.sussed.soton.ac.uk remains in place for a seamless transition, and you can log in, in the normal way. The main features of SUSSED are the same, and all bookmarked links are still accessible. If you are subscribed to our news, you will still receive these in your inbox as usual.

Over the past few weeks, focus group testing has taken place with communities and networks across the University to gather feedback.
This activity has led to further improvements on the platform including:
- the calendar and icons have a cleaner and more friendly design
- new staff tabs have been created for specific disciplines (Educator, Researcher, Professional Services, Enterprise), which contain relevant resources and services, making finding information easier
