Hartley News 2021

The latest edition of Hartley News, the University’s alumni and supporter magazine, is out now.

The bumper edition features a whole range of stories from 2021, including alumni interviews and updates, success stories, philanthropic impact, and how the University is contributing to the world.

Stories include:

  • interviews with our alumni making waves both on and off the water
  • a look at how researchers at Southampton are using a multidisciplinary approach to tackle antimicrobial resistance
  • an interview with Dr Nisreen Alwan, one of the BBC’s 100 Women of 2020
  • a selection of Class Notes from across Southampton’s alumni community

This issue of Hartley News will reach around 165,000 alumni and supporters across the globe – both digitally and physically. A third of our staff are also alumni, and that’s why in the Office of Development and Alumni Relations (ODAR), we’re keen to share our alumni activity with the staff community.

You can also continue to catch up with all the goings-on in the alumni and supporter community throughout the year via Hartley News Online – the digital version of the magazine.

And if you have any stories you’d like to share in our publications – from a staff or alumni point of view – just email [email protected], and we’ll be in touch.
