With exam season nearly upon us, it’s important that you take time to look after yourself whilst studying and use University resources effectively.
The Student Hub
The Student Hub is your first point of contact for questions and concerns relating to fees, financial support, exams, accommodation, wellbeing, disability, careers and course administration. They’re open 24/7, all through the winter break and will be able to answer any questions or point you in the right direction.
Personal Academic Tutors
Your personal tutor can provide advice and guidance relating to your course, assessments and career. More information about how you can work effectively with your Personal Academic Tutor is available on our website. If you are unsure who your Personal Academic Tutor is, you can find out via Banner Self-Service on SUSSED.
Libraries
The Hartley Library will be open every day except 25-26 December, with Friday 17 December the last day of 24/7 opening. Find out more about the opening hours of all our libraries and availability of library services through the winter break on our website.
If you are studying late on campus, we’d recommend using the Unilink bus service to get home if possible (note that bus service times will change over the winter break), or following advice from Hampshire Police if walking.
The Library also host the Academic Skills hub, with useful information about studying online, academic integrity, study skills and much more, all completely free! You can book an online appointment for help with library research skills, writing support, maths & statistics support, or academic skills guidance including exams and revision.
Additional study spaces
You can find information about workstations on the University map. The Student Hangout Space in Building 37 is also open for studying with no need to book.
Additional study spaces are open on level 4 in the Hartley Library, but please be aware that the computer workstation rooms remain closed due to lack of appropriate ventilation.
For those living in University Halls of Residence, there are dedicated study spaces at each site. You will be provided with information about location and opening times shortly.
SUSU
The Students’ Union website hosts information relating to academic integrity, academic appeals, special considerations, complaints, fitness to practise and more. If you have any questions or require any advice or guidance, the Students’ Union Advice Centre will be happy to assist.
