Teaching staff are encouraged to inform students of the following surveys. The Southampton Student Survey (SSS) and Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) alongside the National Student Survey (NSS) for final year students, will open to students on Thursday 3 February 2022.
Why Southampton Student Survey (SSS)?
The student feedback gives undergraduate students (not eligible for the NSS survey) the opportunity to share their experience at the University which in turn helps shape the planning process for providing a better student experience at the University.
Why Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES)?
We want to understand more about postgraduate taught students’ experience, what works well and what could be better.
How to get involved?
We appreciate it’s a busy time in the academic year, so the Student Communications Team will be distributing easy-to-use promotional material to help staff reach all students and amplify the value of taking part locally – this is generally most effective at raising awareness of the survey.
Both undergraduate students (SSS) and Postgraduate (PTES) taught students will be emailed a direct link to their respective online survey on 3 February. The University’s Policy and Insight team run the SSS survey and the PTES survey is conducted by Advance HE.
Please encourage students to take part in the survey.
If you have any questions about getting involved, or would like to request posters, please get in touch with the Student Communications Team at [email protected]. You can also find out more about the NSS on the Student Voice SharePoint page.
