The University has provided a summary of the responses received following the consultation on proposed changes to USS.
The University undertook a consultation with approximately 4,033 eligible employees for the period 1 November 2021 to Monday 17 January 2022, and received 105 responses. You can read the summary of responses on the Finance SharePoint site.
USS trustee has received a copy of our local response summary, and has compiled a full summary of all responses. This informs the decisions of the national USS Joint Negotiating Committee (JNC), as part of the process to decide whether to go ahead with the proposed changes.
The final position will be communicated to affected employees from February, and 1 April 2022 is the earliest possible date that any changes will be implemented.
