The BRECcIA project: benchmark visit to South Africa

The BRECcIA project, led by Professor Justin Sheffield (Head of School, Geography and Environmental Science), is funding and supporting a benchmarking visit by a delegation from the Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) in Kenya to the University of Pretoria (UP), South Africa.

The MMUST delegation will spend this week at UP,  14 – 19 February as part of the benchmarking exercise, led by Ambassador Simon Nabukwesi, Kenyan Ministry of Education Principal Secretary of the State Department of University Education and Research; Dr Jane Musangi Mutua, Chair of the MMUST Council; and MMUST Vice-Chancellor Prof Solomon Shibairo.

This visit is the result of training BRECcIA provided through the Southern African Research & Innovation Management Association (SARIMA) – and is part of the capacity development aims of the Global Challenges Research Fund.
