In 2020 the University trialled the opportunity for staff to purchase additional holiday, and due to the popularity UEB agreed to offer this again last September for the start of the 2021/22 leave year (October 2021 – September 2022).
This month, colleagues are invited once again to purchase up to a week’s holiday, subject to specific limitations outlined in the policy. The deadline for applications is 31 March 2022, with applications confirmed following line manager approval and the necessary affordability validation checks. Additional holiday will be paid for via a regular monthly deduction, spread in equal instalments across the remaining holiday year.
