The government has changed its position and given the University permission to distribute its remaining stock of free lateral flow test kits to students and staff who fit into the following three categories:
- If you are going to visit someone who is at higher risk of getting seriously ill from COVID-19 – including if you are going to see them over the Easter break.
- If you tested positive for COVID-19 and want to check if you’re still infectious after five days.
- If you work, volunteer, or visit somewhere that’s high risk e.g. NHS setting or school and you are a clinical or placement staff or student.
If you fall into one or more of these categories, you can collect two test kits from a collection point at Highfield, SGH, Avenue or NOCS campuses and in halls. Test kits will also be delivered to WSA next week – see SharePoint for details. Please ask a friend or family member to collect the tests if you currently have symptoms.
Test kits will be available until 31 March or when our stock runs out.
These criteria are accordance with national guidance.
You can find information about collection points on SharePoint. If you have any questions about COVID-19 testing, please email [email protected]
