The city of Southampton came together at the weekend for this year’s ABP Southampton Marathon, filling the streets with runners, supporters, volunteers and celebrations!
On Sunday 24 April, thousands of people took part in the event, including members of our very own staff, student and alumni communities, who tackled the gruelling route proudly sporting University of Southampton t-shirts.
As well as many Southampton landmarks, marathon and half marathon runners passed through Highfield Campus, which hosted an exciting Celebration Campus event to mark the occasion of our 70th year. Local live music and fresh food added to the great atmosphere as crowds and volunteers supported the runners at a vital stage of the course.
Thank you to all our fantastic runners and volunteers for making us so proud with your hard work and determination.
